COMMUNITY RELIEF NETWORK UGAND A

"TEARS ARE NOT ENOUGH"

                             OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

PROBLEM STATEMENT

It has been said and still said in Uganda that all needy people need support and Care.

Children, less privileged families, single parents, School dropout, aged youth, abandoned children pregnant girls and new born babies deserve chance in life and to change better.

COREN (U) has come to learn that almost every body in Uganda has a needy or dependant especially orphans and opinions about abandoned children, street kids mistreated kids or children behavior.

No body has ever exchanged greetings with a needy, street kid, abandoned or a child in remand homes. As a matter of fact COREN (U) is aware that these children need love, care and attention.

Many people have never asked themselves whether street kids are not as other kids in homes. One may ask him /herself that don’t they need love like other kids at home are they different from other children in homes.

The main difference may be that they don’t have any body around them to offer them love, support and attention to forget the agony and tries to get back to normal senses, children of that nature have developed strong sense and knowledge   about the way people behave having to survive at the mercy of others, make one learn first within seconds, the child then discovers whether the attention given to him /her is sincere or underlying mothers.

Needy in question need care, love and support and maintenance.

Being a needy, orphan, less privileged, illiterate, abandoned, mistreated may cause kids on street.

Cross culture and cross nation. Which are man made leads also to misery, agony and

un happy life, these are however grouped into structural,  intermediate, immediate factors responsible for turning children out of home and streets and also less privileged.

Structural included ;Economical, Political, Social, Cultural and Injustices in society those therefore result into intermediate causes such  as unemployment, degrading ,poor quality education, urban migration, wage difference, child labor, poor housing  environment, civil wars, internal conflicts family dis-integration and lots of family conflicts, these however result into immediate causes such as being  homeless, parental abuse, use of drugs, lack of role modules and abuse of teachers ;such causes and effects need to be handled  to hostilicallyl by Coren( Uganda ) while working hand in hand with the government.

COREN (U) came out to relieve the community and children in agony aiming at protect them to join streets civil wars internal conflicts by force however we are very much aware that such measures are marginalized section of society as they fall outside area of delinquency systems of services such as Education, health, parental care.

Owing to our presence as founder   members of COREN (U) we came to realize that crimes come as a result of hash environment and children expresses themselves on streets.

Street kids, abandoned kids and mistreated ones however are forced into various crimes, like stealing, fighting, robbing, pick pocketing and drug abuse, raping and defilement.

It is not a few shilling that we give a child on a street is important but it’s more important to show a genuine interest in life of a needy or such a kid.

This means knowing him or her ., where they stay  come from , sleeps, what brought him or her on streets and find a genuine solution to them.

It’s better to find out their dreams, thoughts and aims.It costs nothing to greet them. Ask them just time and committement to help them.

Through this, work is for the social worker and not everybody is a social worker but one doesn’t need to be a social worker or be trained to love, care and give a needy but if one

Puts in his or her heart on a table and decides to stick on such a social work then these kids will change.

Just like an example of a girl whose names are Jacinta who was re- integrated from Kampala streets by our rescue team with the assistance of Pastor George.

The child was consoled and brought back to society, she was taken back to school and now she is offering catering course. She has grown up in faith and Godly manner she is a true born again christan.

Our appeal is that who ever is willing to volunteer by working hand in hand with us in respect of paying fees to such children please do not hesitate to contact community relief Network Uganda as we have many children who needs support.

Please provide clothing’s, shoes, and pocket money, scholastic materials which can make them feel at home ad study well.
